The Oklahoma Anthropological Society and its chapters provide you with a place to share your ideas and discoveries with others who have similar interests. You can join with people throughout Oklahoma as well as other states who enjoy trying new experiences, meeting new people, and contributing new knowledge about anthropology and archaeology to be recorded and preserved for future generations.

In March of 2006 the Southwest Oklahoma Chapter, originally established in 1961, was reinstated and renamed the Greater Southwest Chapter.  The Chapter serves the people living in southwest Oklahoma and meetings are held on the fourth Saturday of each month from 2-4 pm at the Museum of the Great Plains, unless otherwise announced.
Meetings are free and open to the public.
